Stephanie Carlisle is a designer and environmental researcher whose work focuses on the relationship between the built and natural environment. Her research employs interdisciplinary design methodologies and data-driven modeling to study complex urban systems ranging from waste water aquaculture in urban India to polyculture greenhouses in the Netherlands to high performance building systems in the United States.
Stephanie remains committed to fostering greater communication and collaboration between architecture and the sciences. Trained in Architectural Design and Urban Ecology, Stephanie holds a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Stephanie currently works as an Environmental Researcher at KieranTimberlake Architects in Philadelphia. She works as an intermediary between the KieranTimberlake Research Group and project architects to facilitate a greater integration of research within all phases of the design process.
